Calling all Adventure Seekers! The one thing that we love about our beautiful city is all the adventures and new experiences it offers. Here are just a few suggestions of some of our favourite things to do in the Mother City we call home!
Table Mountain Aerial Cableway
​
Take a ride with the cable car with an unlimited 360° view of Cape Town. Or hike up Platteklip Gorge Trail which is one of 7 different hiking trails to the tabletop. Enjoy the Table Mountain souvenir shop or a bite to eat and a coffee in their beautiful restaurant.
The Labia Theatre
​
The Labia is the oldest Independent Art-Repertory Cinema in South Africa. This historic building hosts evenings showcasing independent, foreign, classic, and alternative films and more. With a cozy coffee bar that offers home-made delicacies, a popcorn and sweets bar with slushies, alcoholic if you wish. Take a seat on their garden terrace and enjoy.
Norval Foundation
​
The Norval Foundation is dedicated to the research, understanding, and care of the 20th and 21st Century African Arts. This stunning museum is in a league of its' own. With an indoor exhibition, and beautiful architecture to their Sculpture Garden, this is a full-day outing not to be missed.
Chapmans Peak Drive
​
Between the Atlantic Coast, Hout Bay, and Noordhoek, you will find the most mesmerizing marine drives in the world. This is a beautiful way to see and experience the coastal line of Cape Town. With spectacular views and a feel of freeness that you will not experience anywhere else. Pack a picnic and find a spot to soak all the beauty in.
Lion's Head Hikes
​
This stunning hike is between Table Mountain and Signal Hill. With only an hour to the top, prized with an uninterrupted 360° view of the Atlantic Seaboard and the city, it is worth it. Once a month, during a full moon, you can hike to the top to experience the Mother City under a full moon.
Seal Island
​
The name says it all! Home to the Cape Fur Seal, Seal Island is located 15 minutes by boat off the beaches of False Bay. With amazing views of Chapman's Peak, Sentinel Mountain, and Hout Bay, this is a day trip that will leave you feeling part of the ocean. Keep an eye out, you might spot a shark!
Boulders Beach

Simons Town is home to this unique and endangered land-based colony of African Penguins. There are 3 beautiful beaches, 1 penguin viewing area, and 3 boardwalks that you can venture on. Enjoy a beautiful day on the beaches with these adorable Happy Feet birds. Just a little tip, please be careful and do not feed the penguins.
Silvermine National Park
​
Found in the center of the Table Mountain National Park is this little gem. Silvermine offers some of the best hikes within the park as well as a serine dam that you ca take a cool dip in. There is so much to explore at Silvermine from the dam and hikes to Silvermine Waterfall and cute picnic areas. This natural beauty is wheelchair and pet-friendly.
The Cape of Good Hope

Rich in culture and heritage, this is one place to visit while in Cape Town. Get a glimpse of a variety of wildlife and beautiful views from the lighthouse. Take a seat at the restaurant if you feel like a bite to eat or stroll through the souvenir shop to take a memento home to remember your visit.
Noordhoek Beach Rides
​
Take a lovely horseback ride with breathtaking views of Chapmans Peak and the lovely beaches Noordhoek has to offer. Your rural country feel journey will start at their stables in Kommetjie, passing through the beautiful Long Beach leading up to the stunning and peaceful Noordhoek Beach.
CityRock Cape Town
​
As the country's biggest climbing gym, this place is filled with a whole lot of fun! If you are new to rock climbing or if you are an expert, CityRock will have you covered. From climbing classes, gear shop, kids zone, and fitness gym to yoga and pilates, you are guaranteed to enjoy your experience and learn something new about yourself while having a great time!
Rush Trampoline Park
​
This indoor playground is where your inner child can be released and have a blast! With 10 different activities available from Extreme Dodgeball, Ninja Warrior Course, and Slam Dunk Competitions to mastering your backflip into the foam pits. If there are little ones with you, don't worry, they have toddler time for them too!
Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden

Sitting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, rated as one of the greatest botanic gardens in the world is Kirstenbosch. In this breathtaking 528-hectare estate, you will find over 2,500 species of plants in their different gardens and a cycad amphitheater. The perfect place for a picnic or a peaceful stroll amidst beauty and nature.
Cape Wheel

Take in the breath-taking views that the Cape Wheel has to show. Located at the V&A Waterfront, the Caoe Wheel offers elevated views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Robben Island and so much more! White there, explore the V&A Waterfront Shopping Centre which has plenty more to showcase.
